🐾 Annual Mutt March & Doggie Dip 

The ultimate end-of-summer pool party for your pup! 

Say goodbye to summer with a splash! Fort Huachuca MWR is excited to invite you and your furry best friend to our annual end-of-season pool party. Start the morning with a scenic 2.5-mike walk, then cool off at the Irwin Pool for the Doggie Dip, featuring contests, light refreshments, and plenty of splashes! 

📅 Event Schedule (Saturday, Sept 12, 2026) 

• 07:30 AM (0730) - Mutt March Begins (2.5-mile walk) from Irwin Pool, 621 Irwin St., BLDG 70562

• 08:00 AM (0800) - Doggie Dip Opens: Irwin Pool officially opens for the pups! 

• 10:00 AM (1000) - Event Concludes 

• Note: Humans are permitted in the pool, but only to actively interact/play with their dogs (no free swimming laps). 

💳 Pricing & Payment (CARD ONLY) 

Please note that payment is collected on the day of the event, and we are strictly accepting card payments only (No cash). 

• 🐾 The Full Package: $25 (Includes entry for 1 person & 1 dog to both events AND a commemorative T-shirt!) 

• 🐾 Admission Only (No Shirt): $10 (Includes entry for 1 person & 1 dog to both events). 

• 👕 T-Shirt Only: $18 (Purchase just the event T-shirt at the event). 

⏰ Pre-Registration & T-Shirt Deadline 

To guarantee your T-shirt size, you must pre-register by Thursday, September 10, 2026! 

• How to Register: Contact MWR at 520-533-4471  to secure your spot. 

• Please Note: If you register after September 10th or pay at the gate on race morning, T-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis only (whatever inventory is left over).

Show off your pup's skills! We will be hosting contests throughout the morning with prizes from our official sponsors! 

🛡️ Critical Safety & Vaccination Rules 

For the safety of all participants and staff, dogs will not be permitted on the course or in the pool area without proof of vaccination. 

• Required Vaccines: You MUST show current proof of Rabies, Distemper, and Parvovirus vaccinations. 

• Acceptable Proof: Paper records or a clear photo of your vet records on your phone are accepted at check-in on the day of the event. 

• Handler Rules: Limit 1 dog per handler.

• Leashes: Dogs must be leashed when not in the pool.

• Collars: All dogs must wear a swim-safe collar to enter. 

• Limits: No puppies under 3 months, no female dogs in heat. 

• Safety: Large and small dogs must stay in their designated pool areas. 

• Base Access: Off-post civilian guests must obtain a Visitor Pass at the Van Deman Gate Visitor Center prior to arriving on Saturday morning. It does not take long to get a pass, just plan on doing it in advance.
