Child Development Centers

Our on-Post facilities offer Full-Day, Part-Day, and Hourly Care Programs for children from 6 weeks to Pre-Kindergarten. Fort Huachuca has 2 CDCs.

  • New Beginnings CDC offers Full-Day Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Army Strong Beginnings Pre-Kindergarten Programs.
  • Expanding Horizons CDC provides Part-Day Preschool, Part-Day Army Strong Beginnings Pre-Kindergarten, and Hourly Care Programs. Expanding Horizons CDC is also home to the SKIESUnlimited Program that provides Instructional Classes for children and youth.

The CDCs’ mission is to reduce the conflict between parental responsibilities and work requirements by providing enriching experiences; a safe environment; and warm, loving care and education for young children. Programs offered enhance children’s development and learning through play is emphasized.

Both CDCs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

In addition to regular programming, numerous parent involvement opportunities and special events are provided by both CDCs. For those parents wishing to have a night out, a Parents’ Night Out event is offered the first Saturday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m. at New Beginnings CDC.
