🗣️ Conversational English & American Culture Class

Connect, Learn, and Share in a Welcoming Environment!

Are you or your spouse looking to improve your English skills and learn more about daily life in the United States? Join us at the Soldier & Family Readiness Center (SFRC) for a free, 8-week Conversational English & American Culture course!

This relaxed, non-academic class is designed to help foreign-born ID cardholders (ages 18+) build confidence in a supportive, fun environment. Whether you are an absolute beginner or an intermediate speaker looking to practice, all proficiency levels are warmly welcomed!

📅 Course Details

  • Dates: Every Friday for 8 weeks (September 4 – October 23, 2026)

  • Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Location: Soldier & Family Readiness Center (50010 Smith Ave.)

  • Cost: 100% FREE! (No textbooks or hidden costs required).

🌟 What to Expect

  • The Curriculum: The first hour focuses on light learning (American holidays, local customs, food, idioms, navigating the Commissary, and military acronyms). The second hour is a relaxed, social conversation period to practice what you learned!

  • No Stress: There is light review and optional homework, but no testing or exams! Participants who complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion.

  • Family Friendly: While official childcare is not provided, parents are welcome to bring quiet lap-babies or toddlers into the classroom.

  • Flexible Attendance: We understand military life is busy! While attending all 8 weeks is encouraged, perfect attendance is not mandatory, and you are welcome to join the course late if you miss the start date.

⚠️ Limited Class Size – RSVP Today!

To keep the environment intimate and allow everyone time to speak, the class is strictly limited to a maximum of 14 participants.

  • Registration Deadline: Please RSVP by September 1, 2026.

  • How to Register: Call the SFRC at 📞 (520) 533-2330 or (520) 533-5919 to secure your spot!
