MWR Outdoor Rec Wine Excursion

Uncork, Unwind, and Leave the Driving to Us! 

Grab your friends or plan the perfect date day! Join Fort Huachuca MWR for a relaxing, scenic getaway to the beautiful Sonoita/Elgin wine country. We are providing round-trip transportation to three local wineries, so you can safely enjoy the region's best wine tastings and food without the stress of driving. 

📅 Itinerary & Logistics 

• Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026 

• Time: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Please arrive early. The shuttle departs right at 11:00 AM to keep our schedule!) 

• Pick-up Location: Fiddler's (Off-base) 

• Drop-off Location: Grill '77 (On-base) 

🎟️ Registration & Pricing 

• Cost: $35 per person (Includes round-trip transportation and a commemorative MWR wine glass souvenir!) 

• Who: Open to DoD ID Cardholders, military families, and the Fort Huachuca community. 

• Age Restriction: You MUST be 21+ to attend this event. No exceptions. 

• Registration Window: Opens Aug 19 @ 10:00 AM | Closes Sept 17 @ 6:00 PM 

• Strict Refund Policy: Full refunds are only available within 48 hours of your initial booking. After the 48-hour window, no refunds will be issued. 

🎒 What to Bring & What to Expect 

• Tasting Fees & Lunch: The $35 fee does not cover winery tasting flights or food. Because wineries run seasonal specials and our exact stops rotate, please bring cash/cards to purchase your own tastings and lunch at the first stop! 

• Snacks: Patrons are welcome to bring a personal bag with snacks or food. 

• Pack Light: Storage space on the MWR shuttles is very limited. Please pack light, as there is no secure lock-up for personal belongings or large cases of purchased wine. 

• Accessibility: Please note that the MWR vehicles used for this excursion are not wheelchair accessible. However, we do have limited space to store folding walkers if needed.
