Child Development Centers at Fort Huachuca

Child Development Centers (CDCs)

CDCs are on-Post facilities that offer Full-Day, Part-Day, and Hourly Care Programs for children from 6 weeks to Pre-Kindergarten.  Fort Huachuca has two CDCs.  The first, New Beginnings CDC, offers Full-Day Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Army Strong Beginnings Pre-Kindergarten Programs.  The second, Expanding Horizons CDC, provides Part-Day Preschool, Part-Day Army Strong Beginnings Pre-Kindergarten, and Hourly Care Programs.  Expanding Horizons CDC is also home to the SKIESUnlimited Program that provides Instructional Classes for children and youth.

Both CDCs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

In addition to regular programming, numerous parent involvement opportunities and special events are provided by both CDCs.  For those parents wishing to have a night out, a Parents’ Night Out event is offered the first Saturday of each month from 1800 to 2200 at New Beginnings CDC.
